the music is clearly a step up from the arcade version, both in quality and composition.

The arcade version is far superior. Draw distance is a lot farther and the music is slightly better. Controls are improved.
Might I add the deluxe arcade cabinet had hydraulics that activated on the banked turns?
... Ok, maybe they couldn't have done that on the Saturn, but they could have done better.
