reballing, the cpu is on the board, would need heating up to take off then you could change the cpu to a SL9600... google vaio tt turbo and this guy has posted this video on a forum, maybe you can ask him how hard it was, it looks easy to me, an the sl9600 goes for less then $100...

how do you take out the SU cpu and put in the SL cpu? where can i get the SL cpu? I have a TZ with U7700 @ 1.33GHz. Side Bus Speed: 533MHz. L2 Cache: 2MB.

hes taken the SU cpu and put in the SL cpu
ie gone from 1.6ghz 3mb to 2.13ghz 6mb
and has twin SSD drives in raid 0

is this a 2.13ghz SL9600 ??
as i thought TT only came with 1.6ghz SU9600, 9400 or 9300
my TT is only 1.2ghz SU9300 :(
