A bone stock Ruger 10/22 is a load of fun. Having shot them since 1976 and sent 10,000s of rounds downrange in them, I'm in love with stock 10/22s. But they can be amped up to new levels of cool and capability. In this video I show you a Nutnfancy Favorite Ruger 10/22, a true Hall of Famer. On it I've mounted the Troy Industries T-22 "Sport" chassis and the Tactical Solutions threaded barrel and comp and some other minor components, all of which add a lot to the gun's fun. It's superlight at 5 lbs 4 oz and is razor fast into action (shown). The 6000 series chassis proved tough and durable in 1000s of rounds sent in harsh winter conditions. It attaches easily to the 10/22 reciever, it's very stable, durable, and provides monolithic optics capabilities. The included Troy Battlesights are phenomenal and when that front post is replaced with a .034" sight, amazing accuracy results. Of course props must be given to the also amazing Tactical Solutions barrel which easily achieves one hole groups at 50 yards (shown) with CCI MiniMag ammunition. I recommend always going with the threaded versions so as to attach the TacSol compensator or a quality suppressor. Reliabiity with Ruger BX-25, Butler Creek Steel Lips, and Tactical Innovations magazines was excellent overall. Preliminary testing of the BlackDog 50 rd drum in this setup disappointed. Other upgrades on this TNP HOF gun include a Clark Custom trigger, Tangodown grip, Magpul CTR stock, and Force Productions extended charging handle. With an outfitted Weaver RV9 scope on a UTG mount (works great), accuracy possibilities continue well out to 100 yards (hard to hear steel hits beyond 50 yards in our areas though). The ergonomics are superior: slim, clean free-floated foreend has no sharp edges or extraneous rail. Simply attach the rail sections you want (discussed). Tested with TNP crew and the manufacturers themselves (thanks to Keith at TacSol and the boys from Troy), this setup proved itself as one of the best 10/22 platforms around. //////////////////////////////////Nutnfancy Likeability Scale: 10 out of 10

  • Just bought this same chassis from Troy courtesy of the nutnfancy discount 269.10!! What a fricken deal!! I bought this BEFORE getting the ruger 10/22 !! LOL Thank You sir for the great review and discount!! TnPer for life!!

  • @LeonSORTX Awesome dude, big congrats and that's a good savings. I think their prices in their webstore are fairly reasonable too. Thanks for watching!

  • Hey nutnfancy what do you think of the promag archangel stock I would love to get the Troy chassis but I am on a budget so what is your opinion on the archangel kit?

  • @TheChevyman360 I have a hard time warming up to the Archangel. It's 100% polymer and I wonder how tough and lightweight it would be. A good option for cost is the Tapco. I like that one too, have it. It's rail does interfere with a scope mounting though.

HUGE THANKS TO NUTN for all that he does not just the give aways, but for all the info he provides for the gun nuts like us :-)

  • I want one! lol

  • rifle at 11:21?

  • I ordered the t22 sport chassis this week thanks to your video. I was going to go with the Nordic chassis but I like Troy unit better and better value overall as well. Will be using the TacSol SBX barrel with this build will be interesting to see how that looks. added a vortex strikefire for optics for now. One qestion I have is how is the optics zero hold up after break down for cleaning since the optics stay with the rail and not the receiver?

    Thanks for the great videos

    John G.

  • Hey nutnfancy I have a x-ring rifle by TacSol, would the t-22 sport chassis work with the xring receiver with its built in rail. Or does the t-22 work only with stock ruger receiver?

  • sorry,i guess the answer is yes!awesome review and video!

  • does the troy system allow for aftermarket trigger systems as well?

  • nutnfancy, have you considered actually looking too lease the rights too your show and up the budget a bit?

i'm sure in this day and age you could actually keep the rights too the show and the vision for the project as well as having it broadcasted too a wider audience.

you have a huge viewer base and it can only grow.

you rock, your reviews are the best.

  • Stop pronouncing it as "chass-IS" it's "Chass-EE"

  • Damn that's nice...thanks for the review. Shame about the hoops I'd have to jump through to get one of these shipped to Canada. I'll probably end up saving some money and alot of headaches by going with a Tapco.

  • DUDE! awesome review, just got a 10-22 and have started turning it into a tactical 22. Very helpful info.
