@francbloom18 1) there is no required stop from the wind up position (which the pitcher is in). 2) There is no one on base, therefore there is no required stop, even if not in the windup.
I have no doubt that it was catcher's interference but, like I said, what I find so "interesting" about the video is the catcher's I-don't-give-a-crap demeanor and the batter's arrogance about being awarded 1st base, as if he's too good to be awarded something so meager. It's all pitiful.
