Damn I'm glad I wasn't at that show. I wish me and my friends kicked the shit out of the Casualites when we had the chance in 99!!!! Me and my friends weren't macho douchebags either, we just had an altercation with those shitheads and it almost turned into fashion punks on the pavement! Anyway, I can't wait to see ALL on Jan.7th in Philly!!I've seen the Descendents 3X's since 96(I was at the last show(as of now) in Asbury in 02). And I've seen Chad ALL twice. This will be a first with Scott!!
Haha! Yeah, I totally understand what you mean. I do believe I was one of the younger people who came to see ALL (I'm 21). A few guys were surprised when I knew who Scott Reynolds same on. Who knows though, maybe a real riot would have happened if one of the more 'punx' bands got shut down. That would have been total irony!
Correction neversolved just said there would have been a riot had they been the ones to get cut off, not the thought about All fans...that was my opinion.
I wasn't blaming Leftover Crack just poking fun at their 3 or 4 songs about killing cops. Like neversolved said, All fans are older and in general less supposedly interested in killing cops and looking punk but more interested in the fantastic music and songs...even if the PA gets shut off after Mike came on stage and said "five more songs". Seemed like he was on a bit of a self important high and the cops brought him back down to earth. Damn them cops...maybe Leftover Crack is right...HA!
I agree that the show was unorganized but you cannot really blame Leftover Crack (or any of the bands for that matter, although the Bosstones did play for waaay too long). I mean, the main reason I went was to see ALL (with Scott on vocals which was really cool to see), but the whole show was kinda fucked. The sound could have been waaay better, the schudle was totally fucked (and a few bands dropped so imagine what would have happened if they hadn't). I pretty much blame the curfew.
if they had cut things during LC, it would have gone from riot fest to actual riot. which might have been fun, but then we wouldn't have gotten to see ALL at all. :P
the main stage scheduling screwups also made me miss BDC, cos i had to see teenage bottlerocket in the lobby. and i didn't totally mind LC, they did play some choking victim songs, which was nice.
we didn't show up til jay reatard was on, so i guess we missed the bosstones. they're far past their prime, anyway.
i agree with every word that you said. imagine if they had cut off Leftover Crack. would they have had to put their money where their mouth was and "Kill the Cops" (laugh)
now, if they would have cut off big drill car I might have been even more pissed. For fans of all and vig drill car that was a lot of shit to have to sit through.
Also I thought the bosstones were on waaaay to long as well.
