  • @jstrunck Biegnets are the best. An inside story - if you ever eat at Pancho's Mexican buffet out in the suburb of Metairie, they put honey in biegnets and call them "sopapillos".

  • @AFunnyWhisper I'm not sure how French they really are, apart from the name. A lot of the "French" pastries of NOLA are actually German and Austrian. X^)

    When I was growing up, we just called 'em "donuts". The grown-ups ate them with coffee, the kids had chocolate milk.
