Those were the worse recommendations ever. Are you trying to just dumb down Shakespeare? or are you just dumbing down the people trying to study him? It would be much more useful to point out to people that a lot of Shakespeare's work is written in iambic pentameter. Once you master how the iambic works you will have a much greater access to Shakespeare's characters & a base from which you can build.
