Every spring, when over 3,000 students graduate from Binghamton University's six colleges, 10 students are selected to represent their peers at Commencement ceremonies, holding their college banner and leading their fellow students as they process into the Events Center. Individually, these 10 students cross the stage to receive a diploma on behalf of all the graduates in their respective college. They are student marshals.
