dont you just hate it when people ask "do you practise sports?" then you answer: "yes i do karate" then they say "omg can you break stones with your hands? do you know the touch of death? do you have samurai swords?"

Bassai Dai is different from what type of karate you are doing, and this is the shotokan karate variation. The kata was very nice and the techniques were very well done, but I think you should have your left hand straight against the opponent, while the right hand is getting ready for a "soto uke", in move 6. My sensei, who has the grade 7.dan, told me this before I were going to grade to black belt.

this is an awesome video. this is my next kata. my current one is Tekki Shodan and testing is in a like 4 or 5 weeks.

i will be pissed if i fail.
