nice guide, but I prefer Aimersoft iPod Video Converter, it embeds a iPod manager that you help you convert even limewire and youtube video to iPod, much easier than this one, you may google serach for it.

This is all wrong. H264 is THE BEST codec available till now. Quicktime is more-or-less the only consumer app that has a full featured encoder. iPod supports H264 320x240 resolution videos.
Bottomline: H264 has superior video quality at the same bitrate.
