ok metallica never sold out they just changed there style of music...thats like comparing kill em all to master of puppets...it's different but people still love both. People will always think that metallica sold out no matter how good their music that comes out later is just because it's hard to change people minds once they believe in something. And if you think metallica sold out just watch the metallica inducts black sabbath into hall of fame video...if you don't like music who almost cries

@skaterdylan101 In the beginning, they encouraged people to copy, bootleg, and trade their material for purposed of exposure. Then years later they were suing people for doing the digital equivalent, and IMO that's when it became apparent they sold out, but hey that's just my opinion

I don't bother with the sellout debate, but here's my opinion on their releases...Kill Em All-classic, Ride the Lightning-classic, Master of Puppets-classic, ...And Justice For All-classic, Black Album-classic but mainstream, Load-a few good tracks but bad overall, Reload-sucks, Garage Inc.-good, S&M-different but appealing, St. Anger-garbage their worst release, Death Magnetic-decent.
