Willian doesn't overplay. He did on the first two albums, but every album he's ever drummed on since has been about simplicity. In fact, if you listen to "How It Feels," "Rising Tide," and "The Fire Theft," in that order you'll hear the drumming get simpler and simpler. The drumming on the Fire Theft couldn't be simpler. A bit part of that is maturity. A little part of that is the physical damage he caused himself.

jesus christ. i definitely agree with those who say william overplays. but that's what i love so much about his drumming. he plays so tight and he does so much...he basically brought together the music from the two first albums, Diary & LP2.
