This fighting is far from applicable in real life situations. Its stupid to go into a fight with your hands down. This is why karate tournaments are better, because we fight to improve actual self defense.

In most cases yes.
In my opinion, its better not to take any chances and keep them up all the time, lol, not that they really would fight like that in real life, it might end bad for them. But then again everything changes in a real life fight!
