From the excellent 70's Anthology CD here's Jean, Lynda & Mary tearing up a Gamble & Huff classic produced and arranged by Frank Wilson.

  • The other Stevie song is (we think) Until You Come Back to Me (That's what I'm gonna do) but we'll just have to wait a little longer... Steve.

  • I really feel the Love Train cover by The Supremes! It's just as good as The OJay's version! It's every bit as powerful! Jeanne tears it up on this one and Bad Weather! I like The Supremes with Soul and ATTITUDE! Diana Ross was good but, Jeanne is much better!

  • I wish I had a dime for every time I've heard your last comment!

  • I thought this was recorded by Jean, Mary, and Cindy.

  • Nope, most definitely J/L/M!

  • @ivyfield do u know what other songs they recorded during this session, the last frank wilson session??

  • @redlabs There's always been speculation over this but Lynda assures me that the only track they ever did with Stevie producing was 'Bad Weather'. They were going to do more with him, but it never happened, sadly.

  • This would've been a big hit if released and promoted by The Supremes rather than the Ojays!

  • the old and new supremes were excellent at taking certain top 40 songs and making them uniquely theirs. This is an example ...If only jean had stayed a little longer ,who knows what would have happened in the Supremes disco era-!

  • i think they did a song called ILL WAIT A LIFETIME and a recently discovered track.hmmm wonder what it is. i was told aretha recorded it as well?

  • @theboyfromxtown Lots of practice. Especially since once you hit the 70s, Mary had been dancing in heels for about a decade

  • wish the backing vocal were a bit louder, but i like this song.this is why i bought the SUPREMES AT THEIR BEST ALBUM

  • Awesome cover lieup doesn't matter

  • How the ladies could dance in those shoes, I'll never know! But they do it well.

  • :-)
