YouTube Explained- PART 7- "The SELLOUT "

The purpose of these videos are various. Some are informational, a few might be a quick rant, others might hopefully be 'gap bridging.'

There has been a ton of drama and rumors, myths etc. on Youtube. Particularly in the Black community on Youtube there's been frustration with feeling like they can't get seen.
Because I've been on Youtube for a while, seen a lot of things I wanted to share my thoughts, in depth about a lot of these things.

If you are a YouTuber I'm sure you have a great opinion on a least one of these topics. I'd LOVE to see some good video responses from you to help add to the discussion. There's so much more to actually talk about, but this was already long.

You're definitely not a sellout. What you do is your livelihood, for anyone to say you're a sellout is A) a poor person, B) a person with terrible business skills, and/or C) jealous.

smosh did something like this, they did called sellouts, but the reason is it ruined the video, it made it feel like a commercial.

As long as you maintain the style, people will not mind, or even notice that it was an ad campaign.
