In this week's installment of our series The Truth About Germany, euromaxx reporter Michael Wigge looks at Germans' growing fondness for carrying out home improvement projects themselves.
My impression was that the "do it yourself" idea has been active in Germany since the end of the world wars. I also heard that car owners do many car repairs themselves at home and can fix most problems themselves and only go to a mechanic if they`ve already tried everything they can think of at home.
