First off, I want to say that this was NOT my idea originally. There was a video that was on YouTube during Summer/Fall 2007 that showed scenes from "Passion" cut to David Crowder Band's recording of "Deliver Me". Unfortunately I don't have the slightest idea of the user's name who posted it. I just thought it was really cool and wanted to do something similar for worship at my church. I take NO credit on this idea...

Secondly, I do apologize for the junky vocals/guitar track. It's obviously not Crowder. I needed to time the video to my own recording in order for it to synch while playing live.

This was cut together on my Mac Mini using iMovie '08. Audio was recorded on my Gateway laptop using Audacity.

Enjoy...

  • sounds great, great vocals. The guitar was spot on. But if I may make a suggestion. At the end when you were just doing the instrumental, it got kind of repetitive, playing the same 4 chords over and over. Perhaps playing the verse chords in addition to the Chorus chords would make it less monotonous. Thats just my opinion however, but nice work bro. God Bless!

  • Yeah...it was sort of fashioned after "Coming Toward" on Crowder's "Illuminate" CD. It sounds a lot better with more instruments. I suppose I could have tried to spice it up a bit though. (You think it's boring to listen to...try playing it for four minutes over and over and over and...you get the idea.) :^)

  • Perfect! Great playing and vocals. I've seen the video and the movie over and over, and, it's great. But your playing, though not Crowder, is wonderful, and the vocals are perfect. Very good job. Please keep up the praises.

    God bless

  • Thanks a bunch...certainly didn't expect a comment so quickly. The encouragement is definitely welcomed.

    Take care,

  • excellent job!

  • excellent video, good timing too, the monotany doesn't bother me, it is a good time for pausing to think about it all, just what God did for us!

  • I remember that video it used the Sarah Brightman version of the song and it always brought tears to my eyes, i was very sad they pulled it.

  • this is a great version of the song, keep posting more videos

  • Awesome job. This song makes me want to surrender all...

  • i love it good job God bless

  • oh i know what you mean. I think your placement was well done on the video. Playing with Forte on the Christ's death part, I think your playing a D#m on that part. It sounded perfect because of the intensity you used for that specific part. I was perfectly placed, but I just that had you added the chorus chords or perhaps single notes instead of chords, might have made it that much better. Know i what i mean? I think it would have been less boring at the end is all im saying, But still nice!
