LaHood personally told me he is supporting future funding based on info he had at the time of the vote. What he fails to realize is that compnaies such as Blackwater, Haliburton, etc ARE receiving their portions of those funds but funds to the troops themselves were being temporarily held up. LaHood later acknowledged to me that this was indeed true in a letter he wrote to me.

Is this congressman crazy? You can easily support the soldiers and not support the politicians or their (stupid) policy. His job is not to be voice for the troops or an advocate of them; his job is to represent the people. And besides, we don't maintain foreign operations just because the soldiers say we need to or whatever. The military is civilian run---that means, when the people say "come home", the military packs its sh*t up and leaves. No questions.
