Images of Kent Abbey and Conor Dugan, taken by Kent Abbey and Conor Dugan, from atop the mast of the J80 they were sailing on the Atlantic Ocean just off the coast of Bald Head Island, NC. The images were taken using the delayed timer function on a Canon PowerShot A590. The camera's timer had to be activated manually, giving the two less than 30 seconds from the moment the "button was pushed" to precisely place the camera atop the mast before the 1st image, in a series of 10 time delayed images, was shot. All 10 images are displayed in sequential order - with the first image showing the camera's perfect placement right from the start. This was all done in 3-4' seas with winds at 10 to 15 knots. Who cares? Probably no one except the two who used a little ingenuity to capture some pretty cool pictures of themselves out in the Atlantic on May 30th, 2009 - a picture perfect day for sailing.
