  • As a kid living in the low desert where radio reception was only at night (and iffy even then), this show among all of the others in those days was my musical life line! Our TV at least was piped in via cable, so we did get all of the L.A. stations (well, by 1965 we did, prior to that we only got 5 of the 7 L.A. stations). Shindig, Hullabaloo, Shebang, Boss City, Lloyd Thaxton, and of course, Bandstand, kept me alive in those days. Cheers!

  • Can you guy`s hear James Burton on guitar??

  • can you UPLOAD marianne singing What have they Done to the rain...only As tears Go Bye is posted

  • Shindig a very good show.

  • SHINDIG was loud & flashy ...........and fun

  • This may have already been said, but I was born 20 years too late. If I had been born in 1942 and had the same voice at 17-18 like I had I think I could have passed the audition to be on this show...:) I had a 4.5 octave range when I was 18.

  • Was this the episode of "Shindig" that credited Dr. Charles Follen McKim Maloney?

  • Man we are look'n at some hep cats.

  • During this period, the show had expanded to a one-hour "extravaganza" [8:30-9:30pm(et)], and had inspired NBC to create a simliar pop showcase, "HULLABALOO" (taped in New York), on Tuesday nights, introduced in January 1965....

  • hell, there is more talent on one shindig show than you can find in total nowadays.
