This is a film which I missed seeing when I was a kid, back in the good ol' days of vintage horror showcases on local TV. I never even knew of its existence until recently, learning about it while I was researching something else. Anyway, it's great to see this opening segment here. Interesting how Lugosi is playing an entirely different character here, although he did die in the original "Ape Man". It's also wonderful to see an instance where Lugosi & Carradine are working together on screen.
