Bavaria Keel Problems May-2004 (1/2)

IJMUIDEN HOLLAND MAY 17 2004: For the first time out of the water after two months after purchasing two Bavaria's at Van den Bosch Yachting it appeared that the hull construction of these Bavaria Yachts around the keel were not sufficient for safe sailing or racing. It took Bavaria gmbh and Van den Bosch Yachting 2 full years to fix the problems. Zeezeilschool Scheveningen temporarily cancelled all lessons with these boats until construction was safe again. Bavaria Yachtbau gmbh was informed immediately and we have sent these video's the same day the problems were apparent.

Lucky guy, sell your boat before it is too late. Buy a better one but not a Beneteau, they are as bad engineered as the Bavaria.

@warjacare i have a since 4 years a bavaria vision 40 version 2 and no problems with them, i love this boats (its made in 2001) every firm can have problems but this can happen but i never had any problem with my boat.

typisch probleem van bavaria's na 2000.Heb er al genoeg zien langs komen bij ons op de zaak.Altijd de kielconstructie(het web waar die aanhangt delamineert gewoon bij de minste inpact,constructie fout in mijn ogen) Alleen 2jaar vind ik wel lang om een simpel probleem op te lossen.

Wij doen er minder lang over blijkbaar.

Niks tegen bavaria hoor,ik heb zelf mijn zinnen gezet op een Bavaria 42(van voor 2000).

Believe me, sooner or later all Bavaria yachts will show some kind of severe structural damage. Those boats are built in series of thousands an there is no way to have adequate quality control during the lamination process, done by low wage people. Poor Bavaria owners.

Neem een bavaria uit begin jaren 90. Die zijn wel stevig.

nice bavarian quality...NOT
