Osho is a more commercial variety, a kisher emptier style compare to Gurdjieff but the whole lot belongs to the same empty new age trend.
I havent seen any guru who hasnt profited and made money in the name of spirituality...It is so sad to see all this loners accepting whatever without questioning...this show how few are exploting the thirsty for knowledge and hope of the mayority...
Gurdjieff is part as the theosophical society of this bunch of egocentric gurus who are convinced that they belong to a more awakened spiritual kind. Most of his work have been kept "secret" and protected by some kind of spiritual authoritities to preserve it..What a fraud !!! In fact behind this new age nonsense, the real intentions, is to strippe humanity off its real ancestral gestures which are like an open book of history when decoded..Leaving us empty from culture and traditions is the aim.
I am feel sick of seen new age everywhere...as a sacred dances performer this is an insult for me in the way that if u look carefully, sacred dances from around the world have a history which is rooted in culture and have been molded also by geography ect.. In new age is like there is not history neither culture..everything is erased in the name of the cosmos...It is known that Gurdjieff is a new age hoath where EGO is the main motor..This is an insult to anthropology of gestures..Fake totally.
Many prophets in the past have warned against false prophets that claim to carry on their teaching. It is a problem that they all seem to warn about before they die. Mohammed, Jesus, Gurdjieff are great spiritual teachers but before they died they put in writing I have liquidated everything. Yet there are always PEOPLE, that cannot go on without staking some claim to a teaching that is not their own. Because God does not choose them. God chose these people because he trusted them.
Even the so called bad people are created by the same God. The source for so called good and bad is the same. You are that source. You have never been seperated nor have the so called bad and good people.
Does engaging in an activity often mean that one is addicted to the action ?
Addiction by definition means being posessed by a certain psychological tendency which obstructs one's intelligence. It has nothing to do with how frequently one does things.
Who is to say what is the road to happiness? You have heard countless philosophies of it, countless gurus have spoken of it and have their own approach to the problem.
Identifing with things and let youreself to be sucked into one "world of thoughts and feelings" is soon replaced by other. It is all of finding one center that is constant. Then like a leaf twirls on the wind, but the middle part is strong and imovable.Question everything and search dont filosophyse.Search, find, know and understand.
There is nothing wrong with any of those things...I have loved them all, maybe to much...but they are not the road to happiness. And a man who is a spirtual guide knows the problems of being addicted to the sensual materialistic world...from my point of view you are here to experience them...but then move on. I don't condemn them, but a spirtual advisor must be his 'own' man...Osho has made himself a fool and a fraud, through his vices all too human, but he should help himself first.
Ah, you use the word vice. And who is to say what is a vice and what is to be a virtue, what is right, what is wrong ? The definitions change according to certain standards of society which have been set in a certain time and place. What was "right" 500 years ago, today may seem to be a grotesque practice.
Actions have no value in themselves. It is simply the awareness that is flowing through one's actions which determines one's quality. If there is any vice, it is unconsciousness.

Any "way" to happiness leads astray.
