This is a Tribute to 1501.
1501 is the only one of it's class in preservation, there were only 10 of this class and 1501 is owned by the Severn Valley railway, but it was withdrawn from service on 1st Jan 2007.
This video shows how much of a workhorse this loco really is.
@joshwellburn I saw her at Bridgnorth in March 2010 when I last went to the SVR. Her overhaul had just started.

@joshwellburn Looks like next year because they have taken here out of the engine house and taken her up to Bridgenort shed :)

My mum used to work at Coventry colliery as a comptometer and they pulled out all 1500's for here and even steamed one just for here then gave here 1501's smokebox plate as a leaving pressy of which she still owns to this day

hello, my friend has just brought a class 1500, it is 1504 ( in 7 1/4 ) it is a beautiful loco, its in Brunswick green, it really is nice, we haven't steamed it yet as we haven't collected it , i will upload a video of it running and will let you know as they really are fabulous looking locos ! so thanks for uploading a great video many thanks.
