http://www.myosource.com/baseball/. Baseball training. Working your core muscles for strength, power, explosion, flexibility, endurance, stride length, and hip strength.

These exercises work the core muscles, quads, hams, glutes, hips, hips flexor, lower abs and lower back.
Kinetic Bands are great for all baseball training.

Here we are working with pitchers to build leg and hip strength. Increasing power and velocity.

  • why does he have bands around his knees

  • @JaMasta300 the bands are worn above the knees to directly target all the core muscles from right above the knees to the lower abs.

  • wow... :-(

  • don't you use your left foot as the first step??

  • he's costing himself a full step by not pushing off his lead foot. he should pivot on the lead foot and drive through with the rear leg. not only gets him to top speed faster but also covers a full step more distance in the same amount of time, which like the man behind the camera said is the difference between safe and out in many cases

  • wrong wrong wrong. your supposed to step over with your back foot

  • dont you want to pivet on your left foot and not step when you steal?

  • teaching a false step?? Come on now!

  • when you step with your lead foot that wastes just a little bit of time, but as you said, that time is the difference between safe and out. You want to fire your back leg as explosive as possible using your back arm to just drive yourself toward the base.

  • this training could not be more wrong for basestealing techniques. when in base stealing position, the idea to a quicker first step is firing the back (left) hip through in a crossover movement. this video instructs the player to take what's known as a "false step" by working on the front (right) hip instead of the back (left). that "false" step is an added and much wasted movement that is taught to be avoided, even at the little league levels!

  • @myosource never seen those B4 pretty neat .......altho shouldnt he be pushing off with his left foot to gain the ground instead of re-setting his right foot to go in the direction....i have stolen many bases by just pushing straight off the left foot towards the direction of the BAG
