Our Roving Reporter sets off on his travels again and follows the Williamite Trail, part of the route taken by King William III Prince of Orange, on his way to victory at the Battle of the Boyne in 1690.

  • @iscommunity Yes, my mothers family who were Hugnought came over from Holland with his army and setled in Ireland & UK after the reformation. Le Brun, Van Brunt, Brunt, Brun & maybe O,Brian are variations of the family name. some familys that setled in Ireland from Europe Celtified there names as they became more Irish than the Irish themselves. Moreise became Morris, familys adding 'O' to the name ect. many french Norman names ended up this way.
