Rocky is our Pit Bull / Greyhound mix. He is four and a half years old, neutered, and current on all vaccines and County Registration Tags.
I had adopted him two years ago.

He assists me with my business, as, I work on dogs' Behavior Issues very much the same way as Cesar Millan!

Anyway, Rocky was eating raw chicken and I wanted to prove that even a dog with raw meat WILL let the owner take it back IF the owner wants to.

His teeth are MUCH cleaner, and he is doing MUCH better.

His teeth were covered in thick, slugdy brownish/grey tartar, his breath stank, he had a lot of gas, he had to empty his intestines 5 to 8 times a day, he also was losing hair too much, and drink three gallons of water a day. WAY TOO MUCH for ANY dog!!! And that was while on Taste of the Wild kibble!
DO AWAY WITH ALL KIBBLE!!!!!

So now, he is beginning to get healthier, his teeth are becoming clean, and he seems much more comfortable with himself.

He works VERY VERY hard for his meals, usually a 1 to 8 hour long day (six days a week) of walking, helping to rehabilitate other dogs, and on more energetic days, a few short "bike runs" (he will run next to my bike while tethered to it).

He is NEVER allowed to boss us, (my husband and I), around.

So he KNOWS we are his Pack Leaders.

  • @joclovesprince92 It was a hot day. I had waited about ten. And he didn' t suffer any harm, and was ok.

By the way, I was just starting this diet plan with him, so, that is why his teeth still had some tarter/plaque and he was just a little skinny.

But both got better as I learned what, how much, etc to let him eat.

  • It's not good to feed your dog 15 min before or 15 min after they excercise.

  • Due to some SERIOUS verbal-emotional-mental abuse from my soon-to-be Ex Husband, I have lost all three of my dogs...He'd surrendered my dogs to Humane Society and is defaming my character....

    NASTY situation.

I'm sorry to say I will have to get all this straightened up and try all over again elsewhere.

  • cute pooch!

  • Hardly any muscle tone on that dog...

  • @MrFriggoff You can do both. No, it does not need to be thawed if frozen, BUT, for the first week, keep and feed frozen so the dog learns to eat it slowly. After that, it can be raw, stored in the fridge.

I just get the packaged meats from the supermarket.

My Greyhound/yellow lab and Beagle Video will be on here SOON!

  • Does the meat need to be frozen and thawed before fed,or can i feed fresh cut buther's meat?

  • " 'Breed is just Designer Coat of Animal and Dog' " - Cesar Millan

  • @whatdickhead45 No. Breed has NOTHING to do with it. I know of a greyhound that I had worked with a few weeks ago that was food aggressive. Thankfully, that went away with the Raw Diet.

The owners and i think the reason was because of some dye or preservative that was causing her aggression.

  • @lisachociej Yes but this isn't a pure pit its crossed with a greyhound a very trust worthy breed when it comes to human attacks.
