  • "Siggi" Nissel was loved by all his students here in Köln. I met him once through Jens (of the Auryn Quartett) and it was impossible not to like such a cheerful, generous spirited man. In a way the quartett's music lives on through their students.

  • @jezmuff "rich, rough, fleshy"... are you looking for sound quality or gay porn quality?

  • they look like gangsters with real instruments

  • The lead violin is Norbert Brainin, he never stopped talking and was extremely absent minded, once leaving his Gauneri in the railway waiting room; it took him over a year to retrieve it. Once getting into his car he sat on his little finger and his rolly polly weight damaged the finger for some months.

  • sound recording.

  • What a rich, rough, fleshy sound. Is this just the nature of the sound recording from the period?

  • unsurpassed thanks for uploading
