the death penalty needs to be stopped, yes people who commit serious crime should rot in prison. But if we have the death penalty think about the persons family and friends THEY didn't do anything wrong, so why should they suffer.
murder is murder, there's no such thing as justified murder, there's no such thing as a humane killing.people who agree with the death penalty must also agree with serial killers.It doesn't matter HOW you kill someone, your still taking there life away.

I don't approve of the death penalty and I don't have the best argument because I'm only a 13 year old girl. Most people believe we don't have opinions but I feel killing someone does not teach them a lesson and it's just wrong. Why kill someone who's killed because then A) they don't learn anything and B) it's hypocritical. Now I know people are going to say if I hate America I should leave but I don't hate it I just disagree with some things.

@dompap9 well not ALL americans are like that. I'm american and i'm completely against it. And there's some countries that are A LOT more strict on the death penalty. Try asia, they are very pro execution.

@zephranna01 the witnesses at several beheadings would have told you otherwise and consciousness of this kind is displayed with facial expressions indeed there was a case where a middle-aged lady was beheaded her head was then taken out of the basket and for some reason the executioner slapped her and in doing so he said I got the greatest look of indignation i've ever recieved.

@zephranna01 the guilotine causes so much trauma to the human body (the head survives by the way) that I could belt someone over the head with a cricket bat half a dozen times and still not replicate what the guilotine does. The point is the head survives the decaptation for up to 1 hour.

Being "liberal" has nothing to do with a person's opinion on capital punishment. Conservative, religious, atheist, liberal... these are just people who think capital punishment is an ignorant solution to our problems.
