Part 5 of August 28 "Take a Stand" town hall meeting in Northbrook, IL, to end the war in Iraq. In this part: Josh Lansdale, Iraq veteran and IraqSummer.org organizer for Congressman Mark Kirk's district, explains the campaign to bring our troops home and reports first hand on how Kirk chose to run away rather than engage in straight talk with a returned veteran. Look for Josh in other YouTube videos. Then the beginning of a statement by Gold Star Mother Rosemarie Slavenas, whose son was killed in Fallujah.

  • Josh Lansdale is another Jesse MacBeth.

  • I'm proud of u joshie!! you r a good big brother..

  • Brian Slavenas's half brother Eric, a Grenada vet, and his father, support the war effort and oppose Rosemary's views. Even before Brian died, she was a member of the DeKalb [Illinois] Interfaith Network for Peace and Justice, a notorious leftwing group. This group pretends to be anti-war group if it helps left-wing casues, such as keeping Socialist Saddam in power. Eric can't stand his ex-stepmom or the crap she's doing. He feels that Brian would not agree with her at all.

  • Pandering to the anti-war crowd. Next he'll be running for Congress...after all, he lies and exaggerates with the best of them.

  • There was not one plane or helicopter that crashed on us during this period. None of us even got close to Baghdad or any Embassy buildings.None of my fire fighters that fought any fires dragged anyone out of a building. I would have to see his medical records, but I can not even remember him hurting his ankle. He may have sprained it at worse if even that.
