I ask you all to please not get caught up in the left/right paradigm, the real struggle in our country is between totalitarianism and liberty. The left/right, liberal/conservative, and the blue state/red state labels are tools that our controllers use to divide us. I say those of us that love freedom should unite against those that seek to curtail it.

Indeed one of the most admirable things promised by the US is freedom of speech. As a US citizen and therefore a representative of your people to the online community, the extreme response to dissenters that you long for will only exacerbate the international view of America.

The left is not traitorous, there are a great many valid reasons for level headed people to be critical of the US government, and to lean left politically and economically, and in "the land of the free", surely they have a right to their beliefs.
