@Pendemic, before the diesel R10 was the gas R8 ("FSI power") which was raced from 1999 (R8R and R8C that first year. Both coupe and roadster before settling on the open top design for the remainder of the car's life) through 2005. The R10 was and always has been a diesel and only a diesel. In 2009, it was replaced by the R15, then the R15 Plus, the R15 Plus Plus at Sebring this year and the R18 will soon make its race debut.

First of all, this is not an R10.
This is a Norma M20 which uses a 6 cylinder BMW engine.
And @Matts44444 you are wrong saying the R10 is a diesel car. Yes it is a diesel car NOW but before the diesel LeMans R10 there was a gas R10 that they raced.

Not the R10, the R10 is a diesel car, therefore lower RPm's, it sounds more like a V6

@patincho99 what the...no it´s not the R10 ?! the R10 has a usable doublecockpit, now look at the video it´s a singlecockpit. and second : the R10 is a DIESEL (TDi = Turbo Diesel Injection) and trust me that´s not the sound of a diesel, trust me, i am driving myself an a4 3.0 tdi
