The only Holocaust that counts in the eyes of American people is the "6 million" Jews in Germany/Austria in the 1940's. They don't have any idea that many other holocausts occurred in the 20th century, most with even higher kill-counts. Modern American policy-making is centralized around protecting the 'innocent, helpless Israelis.'

"Culture of Critique" by Professor Kevin MacDonald lays this out in excruciating detail.
