Metroid Prime: Part 19 (Research Lab Hydra)

Welcome to part 19 of my Metroid Prime Walkthrough. I'll be starting the majority of my videos from each save point.

--Phendrana drifts is the home of many of the pirates experiments. It's cold temperatures are ideal for testing subjects and preserving creatures.

There's tons of space pirates to go through while trying to infiltrate their base. Once they're out of the way, research lab hydra is just through the next door...where we'll meet MORE space pirates, lol.

Lots of things to scan here, especially space pirate logs. They tell of their discovery on Tallon IV when the meteor fell and corrupted the planet with phazon. They're finding the metroid's weakness against the cold a great benefit since phedrana is the best place to keep them for experiments.

Space pirates get their own epic music :D

I THINK that if you charge the power beam and shoot a missile, you get a POWAH missile. though that may be for echoes, i don't know.

it's for both :P But you have to get the super missiles first.

Samus: "Oooh I wonder what the scanner says about this computer screen I can read on my own but would rather use my scanner to read it instead"

Scanner: "Error #3406. There was a problem with adobe reader and the file could not be read, scanner now shutting down"

Samus: "o_O! WTF!!"

Shadow Pirates used to scare me to death... Whenever I went into a room where I knew they'd turn up, I'd always make sure I had thermal visor up then land up Wavebustering them all to death.

When the lights go out at this place, my single least favorite setting of THE ENTIRE GAME, well that and the Phazon Mines with the Metroids in them. But I mean, c'mon. It's pitch black. And pirates are hanging UPSIDE DOWN on the ledges.

Space pirate music gets an epic 10 out of 5 stars. Who says the bad guys can't get the most epicest music possibly in-game?

meh only if i knew what the heck metroid was when my family got it at my young age now i want it so bad and the disk is scratched least i still have gamecube intact
