European members of Brothers of the Third Wheel met in July, 2000 for a weekend trike run. See the countryside, horses, wheat fields and narrow roads from carriage days. Only a few dozen attended, but they had brewed their own dark beer for the event, labeled and bottled it themselves, and then had a barbecue. Then you'll see a dozen of the new Boom Trikes (and a sports car) on the tarmac, including the frog-eyed new models with headlights now mounted 4 ft apart by German safety supervisors' decree. You cannot design or build your own vehicle in Germany, just customize approved models from licensed manufacturers. Vehicles must stay in the same configuration, and can add only approved accessories with government inspection and permission. Americans have the freedom to design and build, and then have their individual machines approved for riding!!
