At 2:30 the level gets so damn hard... i remember losing countless times when i reached that part.

The level is truly terrifying.
So much, that Cyst, normally a ridiculously creepy boss, becomes a breath of fresh air by comparison.
It's probably because of the rather upbeat boss theme playing instead of the nightmare inducing ambiet tune of the rest of the level.

as an old school r-type fan...this level was a real treat when i first played it (and repeated it many times)
really creepy, inovative, and just down right awesome....that pretty much sums up the R-type series really
