Remember to check the part 2.3 too! Especially those last 5 minutes. Seems that not many made it that far. :)

This sounds awesome. I saw Sleep a few nights ago and they opened with the beginning of Dopesmoker and it was MASSIVE! I was just curious as to whether your Laney was distorted during the recording or you used mostly the pedal? That lead's me to my second question... this pedal is supposed to be a copy of the Boss FZ-2 (what Electric Wizard uses)... is this pedal capable of that crushing sound? I'm really interested in one, but the Behringer name and price tag has me skeptical. Keep it up!

@MajorThreat138 Thanks! I wish I would've seen Sleep too, oh shit...
Anyway, yes, the Laney was distorted (about half of the gain) and the pedal was used as a boost (in boost-mode) with gain between half and full, I can't recall excatly.
The pedal is indeed a copy from Boss FZ-2. We think the fuzz modes are pretty bad on this one though, at least with the amps we have tried so far, BUT the boost mode sounds incredible. The price is low, that's true, but with a proper tube amp - no problem! :)

what scale is used for the solos???

@bwalsh142 Mostly Pentatonic minor I think, and maybe something else too. I / we didn't think of any scales when we played and recorded this. We just went on with the "what sounds good" feeling, you know. But Sleep uses Pentatonic minor and minor blues scales a lot!
