@jeepguy2011 If you are a doctor, you missed some other big issues with that blood draw, not wearing gloves is the least of this guy's problems. Also, why would a doctor know anything about a blood draw, they never do them. And if you're smart enough to be a doctor you should be smart enough to use spellcheck and to reread your post for errors before you click the "Post" button.

If you are going to do it yourself
A. Be trained and certified
B. Use a tourniquet
C. USE A BUTTERFLY because you are not supposed to let a straight needle hang out of your arm it can damage the vein and possibly a nerve or an artery which can lead to serious problems...

OMG ! 15 pushups! Where is your touriquet. You should of at least clipped one with all the other equipment you got from your class. That was the longest needle puncture time I've seen in my life. Then you let the needle hang out of your arm. Happy hematoma!
