You can also buy beef fat from most meat departments. I bought 1lb and it was $0.65. How do you store yours?

How do you use the leftover meat?

Well if that cow is shot with hormones and fed GMO grains then that would be a bad idea. If its not then I guess it would be ok but then it would be way over priced and you would be better off with extra virgin olive oil that's organic or organic Coconut oil which is way more healthier to begin with. .

I just wouldn’t use the oven. Go with the stovetop and water. The oven burns the oil and changes the tast for the worst. But its okay occasionally.

@streetwhereulive I don’t want to sound like a sally fallon harper (though I do think she is great), but I have been eating tallow, lard and butter for the past 6 years. And I haven’t been to the doctor in as much time. Before that, I used to be in there pretty often for this and that(conventional “healthy” food diets). But I would also not touch feedlot animal food either. I’m also not at all morbidly obese, and would say I am pretty slim. I don’t know, but that’s my two cents, hope it helps.

The worst fat known to man is beef tallow. I wish I didn't know that because I love it, but I do.
@streetwhereulive Where did you pick up the idea that beef tallow is the worst fat? Most people don't realize that tallow, unlike vegetable oils, actually contain fat soluble vitamin K2 which is great for teeth and bones.
Read the article the ‘Oiling of America’ by Mary G Enig and Sally Fanon. They point out how the shift from tallow-cooking to HIGHLY PROCESSED vegetable oil in brought a disastrous change in the health conditions of Americans.
