Just to avoid any confusion, the gliding club is officially at Camphill Airfield, Great Hucklow and its the Derbyshire and Lancashire Gliding Club. Having said that its very nice to be associated with the lovelly village of Abney. We frequently fly over Abney and use it and the other villages as reference points. If anyone would like to come to the airfield to visit and to find out more about us, you will be very welcome.

I but its very tranquil and breathtaking gliding along, just light wind noise and the beautiful scenery to take in. I'd love to give it a go someday!

Abney is a great spot for a gliding club. Those aerial shots are stunning & genuinely breathtaking - huge drop!!! Planes look so flimsy - love to have a go!
