  • Great suggestion and perfect timing for me since I just pulled a Ventline Arctic Air VE-509 out of my 1986 16ft Scamp rebuild project. The inside garnish was heat warped beyond salvage, forcing me to build a new one from neat plastic moldings I got at HD. Now, instead of adding blocking inside, I'll do it your way. Thanks.

  • Glad to help

  • Just wonder if it is really necessary to use the fibreglass cloth between the pieces of plywood? Wouldn't the resin be adequate?

  • I've run across information that suggests the resin alone can be brittle and possibly fracture. therefore the cloth or matt is needed for strength. Probably wouldn't matter in this application but for items subjected to forces it would be a good idea to insert the cloth.
