i feel like the ex-mormons don't have any faith. you can't just research the church. you have to go, and experience it, and have faith.

@alysenko224 You couldn't be more wrong. Many people who leave the MORmON church/cult find faith elsewhere. Some become Christians and some become Buddhist or other non-christian religion and some do become Atheist or Skeptic. Everyone must walk their own spiritual path. Another thing...Ex-MORmONS have gone and experienced, we all have gotten smart and did the right thing, we were true to ourselves and left.

Should I follow my heart or should I leave a cult to become an Atheist or should I just follow my heart and be a Jack Mormon? You left because you reached a point of rational, clear thinking. Good for you. The mormon church makes marriage almost manditory for young ladies, which I have a real problem with, It has a closed door policy with the temples, which breeds distrust, the founder Joseph Smith was a "documented" grifter and con-man, although he was shot in the back by a hoard of cowards, the church performs after death baptisms on those who obviously did not wish it when they were alive. Too much to list.

Mormons are taught to give their TESTIMONY it goes something like this: I HAVE A BURNING IN MY BOSSOM. This is a PAT ANSWER something they are taught to say in a response that is a way they can defend their beliefs and is suspose to make everything valid no matter what. When I have a Burning in my Bossom I take ROLAIDS and it GOES AWAY! THE BIBLE is the answer; the Book of Mormon is FALSE. When you modify/change the Word of God to suit YOUR BELIEF STRUCTURE YOU ARE A CULT!

I have been a worked up Mormon Black Sheep and I am trying to help people understand that not all Mormons are perfect as much as the Church does like to share the fact that we are all middle class wonderful people.I like the calling card MORmON cause it fits many Mormons even my brother in California. But not all Mormons are dumb. But I am a fool Black Sheep.

@LDStorminMormon Be whatever you want. Don't let people hold you back, Myself I'm not atheist I'm trying to learn about and become a Christian. You just need to relax, don't let people shove religion down your throat. Live your life and what you believe is your own business.
