CORSA Prototype Exhaust on a Supercharged Pontiac G8

This is a 3/4 throttle launch with traction control off. The car is ProCharged making 473 RWHP. There are four people in the car and a trunnk full of luggage.

CORSA will have complete systems avialable at retail later this year. They will be refined and retuned to function with the AFM fuel saving technology. We recorded a significant increase in RWHP when the engine was retuned to the less restrictive CORSA exhaust.

BGP1965, how is the draon at highway cruising speeds in AFM 4cyl mode? I hear its annoying with other aftermarket systems... I am waiting to by a axle or cat back system for my 09 G8 GT once I get a good recommendation from someone about a system with no AFM droan.

It is an issue, but CORSA is working on it. It was awful to begin with and is much better now. CORSA has done other prototype work with us. They are good partners and will get this right.

Automatic Fuel Management which is the electronic version of Displacement on Demand. It turns off cylinders when you are cruising to save fuel.

@thebruski08 To clarify more it's electric over hydraulic. Oil is directed away from a set of lifters on designated cylinders which makes them collapse, therefore you lose the designated cylinders due to the intake valve staying shut and exhaust staying slightly open, and the injector is then shut off. Unfortunately this is hard on lifters and they rattle like hell after awhile. Active Fuel Management SUCKS!
