  • Yay, Baby Face!! I like some of the themes that are being played but a lot of them are too heavy and unclear. Also it wouldn't hurt to play the original intro.

  • There are two songs being played here, Baby Face and Somebody Stole My Gal, part of a medley. If you find sheet music with the original intro let me know. Most music written today in fake books and what no don't include intro's sadly.

  • ragtime is not supposed 2 be that fast....i hated it......amazing that you can play it that fast but please slow it down a little....btw, i like the hat....

  • That isn't Scott Joplin or an original ragtime, that is Honky Tonk piano more in the style of JoAnn Castle, Bit Tiny Little, Lou Stein, Fred Finn and so on and IS intended to be fast and raggy and tinkly. There were tempo changes by the way.

    Thanks for listening

  • Ooops, that should have said Big Tiny Little!

  • Can i get sheetmusic off this music or did he wrote it himself???

  • Baby Face and Somebody Stole My Gal are both actual songs and he has combined them in his own arrangement. Get the sheets for the two songs and then work on putting them together in this style!

  • exellent 5/5

  • Baby face! Great rag!

  • @tresgazzy: "Somebody Stole My Gal" was actually written by Leo Wood, not certainly Fats Waller....

  • ....Indeed, for those who wrongly say ragtime was not played that fast, I can assure it was played at all speeds, also that fast and even faster than in this video: that's proved by several recordings made by many ragtime pianists of the period.

  • @MusicMagicMan: thanks for this great video of Ragtime Robert!!! BTW the term "Honky Tonk" is not really proper here, since this kind of ragtime style played by Ragtime Robert, Rod Miller, Alan Thompson Jr. and others really existed during the ragtime era. It was then called the "Pianola Style". Original ragtimers of the period like Fred Burton and Don Mackay played in that style. A sample of the intricate pianola style is "That Hand Played Rag", composed by Silverman and Ward in 1914.

  • Song is Baby face

  • that is awesome, you play it fast and you play it well! love it! dont slow it down at all, you got it!
