Hey everyone on this episode of Play it Through its Castlevania Bloodlines for the Sega Genesis brought to us by Konami. The only Castlevania game on the 16 bit Mega Drive / Genesis Castlevania Bloodlines is a very important game in the series. It linked the Bram Stoker Novel to the storyline of Castlevania and brought Castlevania to the 20th century. The game has two playable characters each unique with John Morris using the classic whip while Eric Lecarde uses a spear. Each also has a few moves the other can't do and this allows them to go into a few different parts of levels. In this run of the game I complete the normal difficulty first with John Morris then play the unlocked Expert mode using Eric. This is by far one of my favorite games on the system and I have beat it hundreds of times at this point. Enjoy!!!

  • "Thus, Eric has fulfilled his destiny as a Vampire hunter. Now he must venture forth into greater unknowns ..." That's Konami's way of saying that thirty years later, Eric had become a whiny ghost who spent his last days on Earth ordering a 15-year old girl to dress up as a nun and bring him five different kinds of cake and a dodo bird, and that he also got to star in a fighting game revolving around time travelling gothic lolitas and their bouncy breasts. Poor Eric, awesome play-it-through. ;-)

  • out of all the Castlevania's, Bloodlines has the best music, complete with one of the BEST renditions of the main theme

  • Hahaha. Bloodlines Dracula has a mouthcrotch.

  • Heh heh heh. I love how you, "exit," Stage 4 with Eric.

  • why did you choose the order that you did? Is it easier to complete Expert mode with Eric, or did you simply want to start with a traditional Castlevania protagonist to get the viewer's attention?

  • I think I'm in love with Elizabeth~

Vampiress > Vampire, in my opinion.

  • I loved what Konami did with the poor music hip of the Genesis. They really made excellent use of the console, especially when it came to sprite layering.

I see so many things that remind me of Rocket Knight Adventures too (Same company, I know.) Not just the sound effects, but enemy animations and styles.

Oh and that last level is totally inaccurate. We haven't seen the moon in Britain since 1642

  • @iamspider oops sorry i meant to say that i definatly agree that tmnt III the manhattan project and tmnt the hyperstone heist were both great and sadly overlooked turtles games sorry for confusing you

  • @iamspider oh i see and yeah i definatly that tmnt III the manhattan project and tmnt the hyperstone heist are both great turtle games yet extremly overlooked and exlipsed by the other tmnt games like turtles in time but you know there's another great turtles game which is also very overlooked which the turtles game is called tmnt turnamont fighters for the snes as well as sega genesis and nes but i think the snes version turnamont fighters is the best version in my opinoin and way overlooked

  • @heerogunkenobi Actually, I meant to mention that one as well. Both of them were great games, eclipsed by the popularity of the other entries in the series.

  • @iamspider i think the tmnt game you refuring too is tmnt the hyperstone heist right tmnt III the manhattan project was for the nintendo console the nes otherwise yes castlevania bloodline is grossly overlooked i really wish konami wouldve re-release this game on the wii virtual console so that way fans of the old-school 2-d action castlevania games should give bloodlines a second chance to have the praise and respect it truly deserves

  • Another awesome play it through, I just wish more people would donate games to this guy - I'd love to see them recorded without an emulator.

But like always,. thumbs up man. You rock!
