I find the hand signals that aren't shown in the Highway Code very useful too.

how you keep yourself from destroying their wing mirrors I'll never know.

@kmcyc they will shove something up ur ass, and say they needed to losen it up for u after ur accident hahaha

Yes you are quite right and I normally don't allow myself to make such a display. Is it worth even the slightest indiscretion that may come back to haunt you should an incident reach the attention of the law? No. We don't need to give excuses to these drivers or provide them with technicalities to explain away their terrible driving.

Well, I like to think I got my point across to them. I doubt very much they expected to be following me across Tower Bridge having made that outrageous pass way back on Minories. I guess so many drivers still believe they are faster than cyclists in cities like London.

Good for you. I will be on the lookout for this driver again and if the opportunity presents I may let them know where to see this footage and suggest the read the comments as well.

Have to say that's probably one of my closest as well. I'm hoping that they got the point when I got ahead of them and controlled the pace.
Slow down you cycling to fast the speed limit is 30mph :p lol

Yes, thank you. Actually on Tower Bridge the limit drops to 20 mph btw.

You could just make the wanker sign and if challenged by the law (when are they around?) just explain that your wrist was sore from a hit and run you had and needed loosening-up... true story.

I'd like to think he deserved more than that but I should have been more restrained. It's not my usual style to let my emotions get the better of me when interacting with errant drivers.
