Single Crystarium, No Accessory Upgrades, No Ultimate Weapons challenge.
Light - Gladius - Doctors Code
Sazh - Procyons - Tungsten Bangle, Brawlers Wristband
Hope - Vidofnir - Tungsten Bangle, Shaman's Mark
I used Light/Sazh/Hope because Light is forced leader, Sazh has com for stagger damage and rav for quick staggers, he also has Haste, Bravery and Faith. Hope has Protect and Shell which will go a long way, may even be a neccessity to win the fight unless you keep a Sentinel in the party for taking out the pauldrons. You may want to switch out Hope for Snow or Fang for their Sentinel, Sazh could go for a longer fight as long as you can make Barty moan when charging Destrudo, I'm not sure if multiple Com's achieve this faster, Rav's don't work.
The only problem with this fight is his super charge attack "Destrudo", without knowing how to deal with it then it's instant game over.
Take out the mini heads on the right 1st starting with the one more to the middle so you can blitz 3 targets at once, I took out the right side 1st because they seem to be the most damaging. When there's 2 heads left then you'll start taking alot of damage so keep on using Potions to stay at full HP, only attack with Lightning when you know you're safe and will have time to use a Potion soon after the heads attack.
When the pauldrons are gone the battle becomes alot easier if you know how to handle Destrudo, if not then I'm about to tell you how, his attacks are weak during this form so you won't have to heal as much but the only problem is...You guessed it! When he starts charging go com/rav/rav and keep attacking him until he moans and pulls his body back (You can easily tell when this happens so don't worry, you have plenty of time to get it off), upon doing this the attack is greatly weakened and you have a bit of extra time to attack him so during this time restore your HP to full and attack him a few more times, when you think he's about to finish charging and use the attack then get a Potion ready and as soon as you see him shoot use a Potion and it should restore your HP in between getting hit by both batches of the attack since it hits in 2 batches, if you do this right you'll come out of the attack with plenty of HP remaining but if you mess it up then use a Potion straight after as you'll be very low on HP and could die from a following attack.
Another thing for Destrudo is that if you don't think you're going to make him moan then you can always summon just as he uses the attack, another thing is that when Haste is gone of if you don't even have haste and he starts using Destrudo then you can try using com/com/rav, this may make him moan quicker because I think you need to hit him a certain amount of times with a com, I know rav's don't work but I didn't try with com's.

Why take this challenge?
It's very challenging and doesn't require much grinding/farming, in fact gil farming isn't required, I never did it at all and only did a bit of CP grinding when I got to chapter 11.
Recomended Roles:
To clarify on single crystarium - This means you can only level 1 type of role, recommended roles are as follows:
Lightning - Com (Highly recommended)
Snow - Sen (100% must have)
Sazh - Syn (Could be changed - It isn't a must have but Haste is great until/if Hope learns at chapter 12 it if you take him the Syn route)
Hope - Syn (Highly recomended but may be able to be changed only for med)
Vanille - Sab (100% needed)
Fang - Com (Highly recommended)
Really Sazh or Hope are the only ones you may want to change (1 of them definately needs to be Syn though), the others are highly recommended though, Vanille needs Sab no matter what and same goes to Snow's Sen.
For those not sure about Sazh's and Hope's Syn's then Sazh gets Haste, Bravery and Faith early and he also gets En-spells (Enfire, Enblizzard, etc.) which are unique to him, Hope gets Protect and Shell early and Bar-spells (Barfire, Barthunder, etc.) are unique to him, each character learns the none unique spells come chapter 12.
