Pelosi at Netroots abstinence-only question

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi answered a question about abstinence-only policies at Netroots Nation this morning. She called them out as being dangerous, saying that Congress needs more pro-choice members.

Bravo for David Obey. He has my vote. Abstinence is the truth, condoms are the lie. Anyone who asserts otherwise has two new critics: Centers for Disease Control and the World Health Organization.

Pelosi is the one who is catering to the political far left. Claiming she is a "devout Catholic" is wrong, wrong, wrong. More like a lapsed Catholic.

Call me crazy, but I don't think it's right to execute a vulnerable woman who has maimed herself having just experienced a brutal cutting of her genitals from a backyard abortion. Tell me, will a woman be executed if she stops a pregnancy in the zygote, which consists of a single cell? Strange, I thought the pro-life movement cared about 'the victims of abortion'. Now I am assured that their ranks consist of the truly mad who want to execute even pro-life 'abortion victims' who support them.

@thatcher88 dont tell me what i do or do not understand. yes, i oppose abortion no matter where it takes place but what can i really do in naitons other than my own. but yes i oppose it. exicute people who perform illegal abortions. yes i understand that would be killing. now enough with you. worry about your own country.

@usaf317 I am not trying to dictate your answer, I am simply trying to get an answer that addresses the question. The only answer you have given is that 'it's their responsibility'. I have asked further questions. The people who are first to say abortion is an international issue are the 'pro lifers' as they would surely oppose abortion wherever it occurs? Obviously, I have asked some difficult questions, and you don't understand your own views enough to adequately answer them.

@usaf317 I'm afraid the supreme court has already done that for you. It is a near impossibility that Roe V Wade will be overruled. If you are so confident that your argument is correct, why can't you answer the questions I ask?
