Frank Zappa was from Glen Burnie MD...a 'bedroom' community of Baltimore.
I am glad I caught on to your vlogs again.

Again I say Hail Baltimore! But you have to admitt it's a quirky and eccentric city and far from the charted territory of normalcy. Perhaps it's because it is so close to the politcal epicenter that it bends the light of reason.

I was thinking of the term in a regional sense. You wouldn't say "Ya'll" in New York you'd say "Youse guys". In Minnesota they might say pop instead of coke.
I still insist that you shouldn't use the expression "shoe shine" when it appies to a black man doing the shining and a white man is getting the shine. That's kind of universal.
Can't believe you actually asked your co-workers about that. Did they think you were nuts for bringing it up? You must have a great bunch of folks to work with.

i am trying to say the colloqialisms such as "rule of thumb" that originated from the size of something you could beat your wife from are no longer used as such. to assume racially motivated intent for using a phrase is mind policng and beneath you.

Y'know this is getting nowhere. White people like watermelon. They like fried chicken too. Some white people tapdance and white people shine their own shoes.
But if you're trying to tell me that you don't see the social stereotyping in these things then you're either ingnorant or you're being a brick that just wants to win an arguement by calling people bigots. I suspect it's the latter.
Either way I wish you well and look forward to your next video.
nearly all (or all?) of europe has a higher standard of living, longer life expectancy, and shorter work week than we do in the US ...
and now we've become a country where half the country cheers when we lose the olympic bid and boos when our president wins an internationally respected award ...
terrorists? ... enemies? ... who needs enemies? we're doing ourselves in
