Drum cover - Don´t Stop Believin´ by Journey.

This is another old favorite of mine. The song always makes me in a good mood and Steve Smith plays such an inventive drum part that fits perfectly to the song.

  • Great song and great job laying down the groove! I like the way that you play the hi-hat with your left hand instead of the right. It seems to groove very nice this way. Do you usually play that way or did you just do it for this song because of the tom accents? Rock on brother!

  • @zepfloyd1964 Thank you, man! I think Steve Smith originally played this pattern leading with his left hand because of the tom accents. But, I play both ways - usually leading with the left hand, but also crossing over like the "normal" way with the right. It just depends on the feel and how comfortable it feels to me.

  • That was really well done! What are the sizes of the kit you have set up for this one?

  • @drumrnva Thank you, sir! For this one I have a 24"x14" kick (full front head on, miked only from outside the front head), 13"x10" tom-tom, 14"x14" and 16"x16" floors. 14"x6.5" Starclassic Maple snare.
